Wildfire
This impressionistic art suggests a landscape suspended between
foreground and distance, creating a powerful contrast. Flames exist in two distinct,
but connected realms. Initially the view is an Everglades fire surging upward in vivid,
expressive strokes of hot reds, whites, smoldering blacks, and sawgrass greens. Beyond this intensity, the smoky horizon line represents the presence of
fire spreading across the land, consuming and continuous.

Crusing Dolphins
Rather than sharply defined realism, the dolphins are rendered in my abstract, impressionistic style. Their forms emerge from sweeping brush strokes and soft gradients, giving the feeling that they are playfully "cruising" together in a pod, gliding smoothly through aqua blue waters as they move. Highlights of white and lighter blues suggests sunlight filtering through the ocean, catching the
curves of their bodies, and the lively, graceful motion dolphins are known for.
